I went to Sparta, Michigan this weekend and went through a "corn maze". The corn was taller than our heads and the maze pictured at left is the one we went through. It took about an hour from start to finish. It was one of the craziest things I have ever done. I kept getting turned around in the "o" in GOD. I even had a map but still had to raise the tall flag to have the runners come and help me get out of the jam. The wings were rather tricky too. The instructor kept telling us "remember, the tree line is by the eagles head". That helped NOT!!!! If you have never done one of these - you gotta do it - way fun!! xoxo A"maze"ing Joy

Well, one of my favorite shows premiered last night "Survivor". I have been a fan since season #1. I am so glad they voted this guy off last night - his name is Chicken and guess what? He is a chicken farmer. He was sooooo annoying!!! Can't wait for next week!!! Have a good Friday!! xoxo A.Joy

I love bears!!! I met these two cubs at Oswalds Bear Ranch in Newberry Michigan. It was safe to pet them because they were eating!!! Aren't they cute??? xoxo A.Joy

This is my new column called "Monday's Blast from the Past". I guess I didn't know what to post today so I thought a pic of the band with Clifford the Big Red Dog would be a good start. This was from a gig we played at a school in Farmington in 2005. It's funny how the band actually almost matches our clothes - but I managed to throw it off with my cammy pants. Blast from the past!! Here is a picture of me and "Beaux" from the Roomates. This was the first gigging band I was ever in. I really want to get my hair cut like that again - it's very close to "Flock of Seagulls" although I never liked that band. I found this pic at www.motorcityrock.com . Yesterday I went to my first aerobic class since summer ended. I CANNOT MOVE TODAY! I am totally remembering the pain of "starting over". I feel like I am 100 years old. Hopefully this will pass as soon as I go to a few more classes. Tomorrow I will go to Starburst class - hopefully she will take it easy? xoxo A.Joy

Okay - so I don't have the official pix as of yet - but our gig in Traverse City took place in the room of the middle picture. Our backdrop was the West Grand Traverse Bay in Traverse City. So you can imagine how excited I was when we played "Down by the Bay!" I have never had a song so appropriate for the venue!!! We don't have many pictures - but they are coming!!!! xoxo A.Joy

Today is the first day of school. My daughter wanted me to wake her up with the karaoke machine she got for her b-day. She loves High School Musical 2. I put that CD on and changed the words to - "What time is it? Time to get up! No more school vacation". If you know the song I am talking about - this would make sense to you. Oh well - off to get some housework done - finally - no more fighting kids to contend with!!:( xoxo A.Joy
