RPS EVERYWHERE!!!!

A&E TV Rock Paper Scissors Championship®
Upcoming Airings: Monday, June 12 @ 10pm/9C Tuesday, June 13 @ 2am/1C Saturday, June 17 @ 12pm/11C
You probably played rock, paper, scissors when you were a kid, but we bet you never played it for $50,000. That's the big prize that awaits the winner in the Rock Paper Scissors Championship. Bud Light sponsored local competitions in bars throughout the country to find the best players, who advanced to the exciting national finals in Las Vegas. This special captures all the excitement of the sport, focusing on both the intensity and the insanity as players are eliminated and a victor is crowned. But this isn't just a blood sport, it's also high comedy as the program reveals the history of the game, the finer points of strategy and you the viewer can become a better rock paper scissors player. Dave Attel hosts.

TAMPA (AP) — A federal judge, miffed at the inability of opposing attorneys to agree on even the slightest details of a lawsuit, ordered them to settle their latest dispute with a game of "rock, paper, scissors."
ON DEADLINE: Rock, paper, scissors, shoot
The argument was over a location to take the sworn statement of a witness in an insurance lawsuit.
In an order signed Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Gregory Presnell scolded both sides and ordered them to meet at a neutral location at 4 p.m. June 30 to play a round of the hand-gesture game often used to settle childhood disputes. If they can't agree on the neutral location, he said, they'll play on the steps of the federal courthouse.
The winner gets to choose the location for the witness statement.
"We're going to have to do it," said David Pettinato, lead attorney for the plaintiff, Avista Management. "I guess I'd better bone up on 'rock, paper, scissors' rules."
Last year, officials of the auction houses Christie's and Sotheby's engaged in the game to decide who would get to sell a $17.8 million collection of art offered by a Japanese electronics company. Christie's won.

2 weird things for today:

I fed Cleo the rat scrambled eggs from a frying pan on the front porch while waiting for our car pool to get the kids to school (how white trash is that??!!)

And - I sucked the entire 12 foot phone cord into the vacuum (how stupid is that??!!). Took me forever to get it out. I asked Bec to get me "daddy's screwdriver" to take the vacuum apart - and she comes along with a battery powered drill "revving it as she walks". Looked like Clint Eastwood in a "Hello Kitty" outfit!!!

We rocked the shelter at Freedom Hill with the Girls Scouts yesterday - until the torrential downpour came and blew the tie dye backdrop into a wet pool of rainwater!!!! AARRHH - electricity and water do not mix!!! Had to cut the show early - but don't worry my little Girl Scout Friends - we'll be back!!!
