While the Candy Band is on a 3 week vacation - I have been checking out other bands. Last night I took my kids to see The Muggs (www.themuggs.com) at Scotia Park in Huntington Woods. They were so awesome - Danny M is such a great guitar player:) It was really fun to watch all the kids dancing around the this blues-rock inspired band - way to go guys!!! xoxo A.Joy

Today, Candy Band gets the pleasure of playing at a school on the morning of their last day!! We play at 8:45 am - so right now, instead of blogging - I should be loading the van and drying my hair and eating breakfast!! But - I was excited about this gig and wanted to share that!! One of the last Cultural Arts Assemblies I booked for my school was the Woodward Corridor Musicians. They were amazing. We were standing around talking about who our influences were growing up - I of course said Led Zep and the lady on the 2nd from the right (the viola player) told me that she performed with them twice when they came through town years ago. She was hired with other orchestra members - as LZ always hired locals when they passed through town. That means she played on Kashmir!!! When she told me that, I literally got goosebumps!!!
