I visit Grandma Hawkins In michigan, she played Candyband music with her kids cds in the car, I heard 1-2 songs of Candyband, I leaned foreword, said hey grandma I like your kids music.

Almond Joy has a busy weekend!! Saturday I will be performing solo at Barnes and Noble in downtown Royal Oak for a school fundraiser at 1pm - then off to Lake Orion with the Candy Band for their holiday town lighting at 4:45. I love animals - especially baby animals! Every year on the garbage night after Thanksgiving - I see possums in the garbage. They have a bad reputation - but they are so cute!! This is their world too ya know!! Last night I saw a baby possum in my neighbors garbage. He/she was really gorging on the Thanksgiving leftovers!! So the next time you thing possums are ugly - look at this picture - they are adorable!! xoxo A.Joy

Okay - so I am at home now after eating a huge Thanksgiving feast with my family. We had: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, green beans, salad, squash, rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie, gee - what else am I missing - oh yeah - cranberries - but we forget to get them out of the fridge. I am so stuffed and my kids were making me ill on the way home saying "let's get a pizza" and "lets go to white castle" . I felt so sick when they were saying that - uck!! Happy Day all!! xoxo A.Joy

Pack up your hot cocoa and some blankets and head on down this Saturday to downtown Royal Oak for the 10am "Santa's First Stop" parade. If you wanna watch from home - watch Fox 2 at 10am. Candy Band will appear live (not on a semi this year - sorry convoy pals!!!). This year we will perform on an ultra glam snowmobile trailer (thank you Melissa and Chris!!). I had to post this - my neighbor told me this morning (sorry H!). She was trying to hide her Halloween candy to get it out of sight - so she put it in the oven. Well, she forgot about it and turned her oven on and guess what?? It all melted along with the bowl and it even wrecked her oven rack!! Sorry - I can donate some of my candy!! xoxo A.Joy

Just watched the funniest movie last night: "Blades of Glory". Will Ferrell is one of the funniest guys around. I can't wait till the holidays and get "Elf" out again!! I went to a Halloween party at Kit Kat's and there was a guy there dressed like Elf - he looked EXACTLY like him. He even hugged my husband!! Actually, it was a friend of ours. I really wanted to bring him home for the holidays!!! Maybe if he reads this, he will re-consider??? Anyways, if you haven't seen "Blades of Glory" go out and rent it TODAY!!! xoxo A.Joy

I started a monthly "cooking group". We get together and make things that are messy to make and generally a pain in the butt. Last month we made stuffed cabbage (like 200 of them) and today - Lasagna!!! We will make tons and tons and eat it all winter (along with our leftover stuffed cabbage!!) Love and Lasagna xoxo A.Joy

I made a haunted garage for halloween (not pictured at left). The kids loved it. I "electrocuted" Mr. Fluffy, had 2 zombies eating spaghetti with mice in it and a lovely salad of hosta leaves with bugs in it, had a "dummy" lady handing out candy (she had no arms or legs) and a cooler with a severed head in it. It was fun!!! Now I have to clean up that mess today, yuk!!
