Where can you see The Romantics, Marshall Crenshaw and Almond Joy at the same festival? At the Stars and Stripes Festival this Saturday http://www.starsandstripesfest.com/
My pal Maggie and I formed a little acoustic combo, and we perform when Candy Band is on vacation. Check us out at 7pm Saturday!! xoxo A.Joy
Our rat "Josephine" loves to play in the garden in front of my porch. I just had to take a picture - it's so cute. But.....the last time she was out there, she started running off and we had to chase her - she almost went down into a chipmunk hole - what would have happened then?? I don't even want to picture that one in my head!! xoxo A.Joy
Yesterday, after our show at the Rochester library, I took a walk on the Paint Creek Trail. As we were walking, I saw a beautiful doe in the brush. She was about 3 feet away! She just looked at us, and kept eating. It's so strange to be so close to nature, in an urban area.
Saturday we played at 2 branches of the Ypsilanti Library (Whitaker Road and Michigan Avenue). This is a pic from the Mich Branch (downtown). It was sooooo hot - but we rocked out anyways!! Thanks Ypsi for having us - hope to be back again soon!!! Next up - Rochester Library on Wed night (June 18) at 7pm sharp!! xoxo A.Joy
We had a great couple of shows in Ypsilanti today. We played at 2 branches of the library. They were celebrating their 140th birthday... Thanks to everyone who came to watch.
Wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate my brother Brady for winning an Emmy for his work on the Detroit Pistons broadcast. Brady works for Fox Sports as a producer! Great job Bro!
We played at the Henry Ford over the weekend for the opening of the "History of Chocolate" Exhibit. We were lucky enough to play in front of the Dymaxion House!! Is this cool or what? I would love to have one of these perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan!!! xoxo A.Joy
Darn, darn, darn, darn, darn!!!!!! 30 seconds away from winning the Stanley Cup... and those darn Penguins had to spoil it!!!!!!! I'm tired, and frustrated! Let's Go Red Wings, you can do it! Here's a picture of the Starburst clan (minus Payday), at the last Red Wings Stanley Cup parade in 2002.
