Wow - I spent the night at the Detroit Zoo on Friday night with my daughters Brownie Troop. We were led on a night tour of the zoo (with no flashlights allowed). We watched the monkeys and polar bears sleep and observed the barn owl "wide awake". We even went into the seal tube in the dark - that was super cool!! We had breakfast with the seals as well. The staff was great - we had s'mores at 11pm and watched "Jungle Book" on a giant wall at 11:30 (complete with large bowls of popcorn). In the morning - they opened the walls of our room and they turned into large windows and we could see the zoo waking up!! If you ever get a chance to go on one of these trips - DO IT!!! xoxo A.
